In just 1.5 years, we've established ourselves as a "hyper‒scaler" for powder X‒ray diffraction (XRD) data analysis, serving over 1,000 scientists and researchers worldwide from both academia and industry. We're building cutting‒edge tools that transform how materials scientists analyze and interpret their data.

The role
  • We're looking for a Frontend-Focused Fullstack Engineer to craft extraordinary user experiences that will transform scientific research! In this key role, you'll be the driving force behind interfaces that make breakthrough discoveries possible.
  • You'll build compelling visualizations that turn complex crystallographic data into intuitive insights, design interfaces that scientists actually love to use, and push the boundaries of what's possible in scientific software. Your code will enable researchers worldwide to accelerate materials innovation in ways previously unimaginable.
  • This isn't just about writing great frontend code—it's about empowering scientific discovery through brilliant user experiences while having the fullstack capabilities to bring your visions to life end-to-end. You'll have the creative freedom to shape how the next generation of scientists interact with cutting-edge materials analysis tools, with your work directly impacting research in renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and advanced materials development.

You should apply if you
  • Have 5 or more years of professional software development experience with strong emphasis on frontend development.
  • Have expert knowledge of React, Shadcn UI, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Have working knowledge of backend development with Node.js and RESTful APIs.
  • Show a good understanding of responsive design principles.
  • Enjoy visualization data with libraries (D3.js, plotly.js, or similar).
  • Are familiar with cloud services (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
  • Have an eye for design and passion for creating intuitive user experiences.
  • Can write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Communicate well in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate a strong ownership mindset.
  • Strive to improve yourself, your peers, and the culture you work in over time.
  • Enjoy collaborating with others, including reviewing code and pair programming.

Nice to have
  • Interest in scientific applications and data visualization
  • Background in or knowledge of materials science
  • Python and C++ specifically
  • SQL and other database system
  • Infrastrucute-as-code and familiarity with cloud architectures
